Abstract

This book explores the evolution of cultural policy in Luxembourg from the 1920s to the early 1970s. It highlights Luxembourg as a space between French and German influences and focuses on the history and art section of the State Museums, precursor to today’s Musée national d’archéologie, d’histoire et d’art. Combining theory with archival research, it offers fresh insights into cultural policy, nation-building, and museum history.
