How do contemporary artists remember the post-socialist transformation period? What sources, media and strategies do they draw upon? Ulrike Gerhardt summarizes artistic memory of the Cold War’s conclusion using the newly coined term, "Easternfuturist Memory". This practice of remembrance emerges as a generation-specific phenomenon pointing to the future.
