Abstract

This volume contains the Proceedings of the Conference held on Oct. 7-8, 2022, at the Department of Humanities, Languages and Cultural Heritage of the University of Cagliari, as a conclusion of a two-year Research Project. The idea of dedicating a Research Project to artistic-craft production arose from years of fieldwork in both archaeological and art-historical disciplines, which have increasingly highlighted how much the long tradition of craftsmanship of which Sardinia is proud, which is expressed in artifacts made of ceramics, glass, metal, stone, wood and fabric, even at first glance reveals a transmission of technical and artistic 'knowledge' that is kept alive through the centuries.

Il volume contiene gli Atti del Convegno tenuto nei giorni 7-8 ottobre 2022, presso il Dipartimento di Lettere, Lingue e Beni culturali dell'Università di Cagliari, a conclusione dello svolgimento del Progetto biennale di ricerca omonimo. L’idea di dedicare alla produzione artistico-artigianale un Progetto di ricerca è scaturita da anni di lavoro sul campo sia nel settore delle discipline archeologiche sia storico-artistiche, che hanno evidenziato sempre più quanto la lunga tradizione artigianale di cui la Sardegna va fiera, che si esprime in manufatti in ceramica, vetro, metallo, pietra, legno e tessuto, anche solo ad un primo sguardo riveli una trasmissione di ‘saperi’ tecnici e artistici che si mantiene viva attraverso i secoli.
