            Abstract
            Réunis par la Société des Amis d'Illibéris, ces textes sont dédiés à Miquel de Giginta, un fils de la bourgeoisie perpignanaise, devenu chanoine d'Elne avant de se lancer, vers 1575 sur la route de Madrid et de proposer aux Cortès de Castille une réforme de la bienfaisance qui aura pour effet de créer des Casas de Misericordia dans les principales villes de la péninsule ibérique. Faisant suite à un colloque organisé sous la présidence de Michel Cavillac, cet ouvrage est consacré à des thèmes éducatifs et sociaux. Il réunit des spécialistes provenant de plusieurs horizons disciplinaires et va bien au-delà d'une simple description de l'œuvre très progressiste de Giginta : il propose une réflexion plus générale au sujet de la protection des populations.

            Export search results
