publisher.descriptionPresses de l’Inalco publishes scientific works that combine cultural regions and disciplinary fields. A leading scientific, cultural and professional public institution, the purpose of the Inalco (Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales) is to teach the languages of Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, Oceania and Africa and those of the peoples of the American continent, as well the geography, history, institutions, politics, economics and social affairs of the countries concerned. Presses de l’Inalco has the status of a shared service department, guaranteeing its editorial and scientific independence. Through its work, it contributes to disseminating the good editorial practices set out in the national framework of the Bibliothèque scientifique numérique. The fundamental principles of the Presses de l’Inalco are thus: high standards of quality thanks to double blind peer review; open access dissemination in order to achieve wide international distribution; Creative Commons publishing licences to protect authors/creators and their rights; multi-format publication of all works, allowing for visual and audio enrichments. A single XML-TEI file is used to produce the different versions of a text in print and digital format (HTML, ePub, PDF).*
