Abstract

The system of names given to one of the main characters in the short story “Boys” (1887) by Chekhov was analyzed. The research of this system of nominations showed the influence of nominative paradigm on the formation of poetics of a literary work. The interaction and mutual influence of the short story architectonics, the poetonym paradigm and the context resulted in revealing the main idea of the short story. The poetics of name and the author’s message can be understood if both the writer and the reader possess a common thesaurus.

L’étude du système de noms d’un des personnages principaux dans lа nouvelle d’А. P. Chekhоv « Les Garçons » (1887) montrе l’influence du paradigme du nom à la formation de la poétique du nom et de l’oeuvre en général. L’analyse linguo-stylistique de l’interaction et de l’influence réciproque de l’architectonique de la nouvelle, du paradigme d’anthropoétonyme et du contexte a permis de découvrir l’idée de l’oeuvre. Cependant la compréhension de la poétique du nom associée à la conception d’auteur est possible en présence du thesaurus commun de l’écrivain et du lecteur.
