This book is one of the results of the project “Digital platforms for the care economy (PLADECUIs)”, funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the European Union “NextGenerationEU”. The project arose because the 21 professors who make up the project (from 6 different areas of knowledge) noticed the need to study the multiple aspects of ethical and legal interest that converge behind the varied reality of digital care platforms. With this book we want to disseminate part of the results of the research; because we believe that citizens should be the first to receive information about the studies carried out; that part of the information that, although less technical (to be more understandable), is of great practical interest since it can contribute to avoiding fraud or mere difficulties in contracting home care services through digital platforms. The fact sheets in this book, all of them prepared by university professors who are experts in the field, contain the necessary information for users of home care services, owners of care businesses and people who work in care, to understand the complex reality of digital care platforms, whose presence in the reality of our days is increasing rapidly. We believe that, by disseminating our technical knowledge in an understandable language, we contribute to the protection of the rights of citizens (users and care workers).
