            Abstract
            Prenant l’attitude d’un Persan à Paris, le grand critique d’art brésilien Mário Pedrosa écrit en 1975 à ses compatriotes, à partir de son exil parisien. Ce texte, son adieu à la critique d’art, est aussi un des plus profonds pour comprendre son point de vue, finalement très critique, sur les développements de l’art moderne occidental et son espoir d’un art nouveau, fruit de ce qu’il appelle encore le tiers-monde. S’il emploie le mot postmoderne, ce n’est pas dans le sens de Jean-François Lyotard, et pourtant quelques années à peine avant La Condition postmoderne (1979), Pedrosa affirme que le moderne et le primitif, le savoir savant et le savoir populaire ont cessé de s’opposer.

            Export search results
