Zwischen Henkel und Schnabel illustrates the results of the course “Artistic Project Z” at the Department of Three-Dimensional Design and Model Making at TU Wien, in cooperation with the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl–Salzkammergut 2024. The course included the development and realisation of physical objects and their adaptation into a printed format. Over the course of the semester, the objects were presented to the public in the form of interventions in the KunstQuartier Gmunden and then transformed into this printed work by the students. The publication is accompanied by extensive photographic documentation of the creative process. In addition, explanatory texts by the teachers reflect the artistic approaches and methods. The jug as an everyday object with high symbolic value was at the centre of the semester. The project primarily investigated its social function as a communicative link in interpersonal exchange, beyond its pure utility value. This publication also sees itself as such a vessel.
