This book provides a comprehensive analysis of key challenges in competition within digital markets, drawing on both legal and economic perspectives. Alongside an overview by Advocate General Juliane Kokott et al. examining recent jurisprudence of the EU courts on the abuse of dominance, the authors address topics including economic approaches in case law, the classification of behaviors increasingly observed in digital markets under the prohibitions on anti-competitive agreements (algorithmic collusion, collective bargaining for platform workers) and the abuse of dominance (employee poaching, self-preferencing), market structure control (killer acquisitions, § 32f GWB), and the regulation of major digital platforms (§ 19a GWB, Digital Markets Act).
