Abstract

Schizophrenia is one of the most common mental disorders in all societies. There are many studies in the literature on the characteristics and treatment of schizophrenia. In etiological studies, it has been seen that schizophrenia is explained in genetic, neurodegenerative, neurodevelopmental, and neurochemical models. It has also been stated in the studies that the onset of the disease can be acute and insidious, as well as involving prodromal symptoms.
