oapen.abstract.otherlanguageOtroštvo v slovenskem izseljenstvu sodi med manj raziskane izseljenske teme, knjiga pa ga poskuša osvetliti z zornih kotov različnih znanstvenih disciplin. Izhajajoč iz mnogovrstnosti zgodovinskih in kulturoloških definicij otrok ter kategorij otrok v izseljenstvu, predstavljenih v prvem, uvodnem delu knjige, smo v drugem delu knjige najprej pogledali na otroštvo v izseljenstvu, kot se odraža v slovenski izseljenski književnosti in medmrežnih vsebinah. Tretji del knjige se osredotoča na manj raziskane vidike otroštva v nekaterih posebnih izseljenskih situacijah. Avtorice v svojih poglavjih namreč raziskujejo intimno doživljajske migrantske izkušnje otrok aleksandrink, izgnanih otrok in otrok diplomatov. Metodološko stičišče različnih disciplinarnih in avtorskih pristopov raziskave je predvsem v poskusu subjektivizacije predmeta obravnave, oprtem tudi na čim različnejša osebna pričevanja.
