            Nuclear Radiation Interactions

            Yip, Sidney (2014)
This book is a treatment on the foundational knowledge of Nuclear Science and Engineering. It is an outgrowth of a first-year graduate-level course which the author has taught over the years in the Department of Nuclear ...

            Contemporary Accelerator Physics

            Tzenov, Stephan Ivanov (2004)
This book adopts a non-traditional approach to accelerator theory. The exposition starts with the synchro-betatron formalism and continues with the linear and nonlinear theories of transverse betatron motion. Various methods ...

            Classical Charged Particles (Third Edition)

            Rohrlich, Fritz (2007)
Originally written in 1964, this famous text is a study of the classical theory of charged particles. Many applications treat electrons as point particles. At the same time, there is a widespread belief that the theory of ...

Theory And Phenomenology Of Sparticles: An Account Of Four-dimensional N=1 Supersymmetry In High Energy Physics

Drees, Manuel; Godbole, Rohini; Roy, Probir (2005)
Supersymmetry or SUSY, one of the most beautiful recent ideas of physics, predicts sparticles existing as superpartners of particles. This book gives a theoretical and phenomenological account of sparticles. Starting from ...

Bayesian Reasoning In Data Analysis: A Critical Introduction

            D'agostini, Giulio (2003)
This book provides a multi-level introduction to Bayesian reasoning (as opposed to “conventional statistics”) and its applications to data analysis. The basic ideas of this “new” approach to the quantification of uncertainty ...

Physics Of Intensity Dependent Beam Instabilities

            Ng, King Yuen (2005)
This book provides a comprehensive treatment of intensity dependent particle beam instabilities in accelerating rings. Written for researchers, the material is also suitable for use as a textbook in an advanced graduate ...

            Phenomenology Of Ultra-relativistic Heavy-ion Collisions

            Florkowski, Wojciech (2010)
This book gives an introduction to main ideas used in the physics of ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions. The links between basic theoretical concepts (discussed gradually from the elementary to more advanced level) ...

            Lattice Gauge Theories

            Rothe, Heinz J (2012)
This book provides a broad introduction to gauge field theories formulated on a space-time lattice, and in particular of QCD. It serves as a textbook for advanced graduate students, and also provides the reader with the ...

Instrumentation And Techniques In High Energy Physics

            Lincoln, Donald (2024)
This book provides an introduction of some of the technology and techniques of modern particle physics. Each chapter is a deep dive into the relevant subject, which includes silicon pixel detectors, plastic scintillator ...

            Perspectives On String Phenomenology

Kane, Gordon; Acharya, Bobby; Kumar, Piyush (2014)
The remarkable recent discovery of the Higgs boson at the CERN Large Hadron Collider completed the Standard Model of particle physics and has paved the way for understanding the physics which may lie beyond it. String/M ...
