| publisher.oalicense | All our books are free to read for everybody, without limitation. They can be shared with our embeddable reader, in any context, without limitation. And they can be shared for private use. | * |
| publisher.peerreviewpolicy | The disciplines eligible for publication correspond to the orientations of the Société des Océanistes. Authors submit their manuscripts to the Society. The editorial committee, comprising permanent members and international experts, conducts an initial review and then sends the manuscript to external reviewers (single blind external review). Assessments are delivered to the author within three months. The author is informed of the decision and is given the (anonymous) referee reports. Desirable revisions are then discussed between author and publisher, and sometimes the reviewer. | * |

| publisher.description | The Société des Océanistes is the only French-language Oceania-focused association. Founded in 1945, its purpose is to publish any scientific article on Oceania (in the broad sense) and especially on its population’s present and past. The disciplines covered are: archaeology, history, ethnology, anthropology, linguistics and all the disciplines of the HSS, but also the “natural sciences”, environmental studies, etc. It publishes a journal (Journal de la Société des Océanistes) as well as monographs in four distinct collections that span academic research to popular science: “Publications de la SdO”, “Travaux et documents océanistes”, “Publications hors-série” and “Petits dossiers de la SdO”. The main publication language is French followed by English. All titles are published digitally and disseminated internationally. | * |
