publisher.peerreviewpolicy	Initial assessment : The aim of this initial assessment is to consider whether the project meets the eligibility criteria of UGA Éditions’s editorial policy. If the decision is affirmative, the project moves on to peer review proper. It is the responsibility of the editorial board to set the strategic directions of the press, with the active support of the “Définition et expertise” department. Double blind peer review : The aim of this second phase is to make a decision as to whether to publish, and, if need be, to identify any significant alterations to be made (reorganization, addition or deletion of chapters, instructions of a general nature, etc.). This phase involves a limited number of reviewers (two, or three in case of disagreement; more reviewers may be called upon in very specific cases). The decision whether or not to publish, and any conditions attached (corrections to be made), is delivered to the author after this two-stage review in the form of a statement produced by the section head or series editor, with the support, if the latter so wishes, from the expertise team. In addition, UGA Éditions maintains online encyclopaedias on the topics of energy and the environment, making expert-reviewed and structured knowledge in French available to all. UGA Éditions is also developing a journals section open to all the high-quality journals produced by UGA laboratories.
