publisher.peerreviewpolicySubmitted manuscripts are reviewed by the Editorial Board, which requests two reports, one internal and the other external. The manuscript is first read and evaluated by the publications department, which assesses its intellectual soundness and the expertise mobilized. If provisionally accepted, the manuscript is then anonymously reviewed by a member of the Editorial Board and by a non-Board reviewer who is a specialist of the field covered by the manuscript. The anonymous recommendations of the experts are then relayed to the authors, who are asked to submit a second version (alterations and deletions must be clearly indicated in the body of the text), accompanied by an argument-based justification for whether (or not) the recommendations have been taken into account.*
