publisher.peerreviewpolicyPEER-REVIEW PROCEDURE - Tampere University Press Tampere University Press (TUP) was established in 1994 <BR><BR> TUP Peer-review Process<BR> TUP will send a manuscript for peer-review to outside experts (minimum 2 persons), selected by editorial board members, if the general editors in their initial evaluation find the book potentially worth publishing. We then approach these external peer reviewers to write a peer review following the 'TUP Review Form'. Editorial board evaluate the reviews and based on the reviews recommends what to do next. Based on this recommendation TUP publishing director makes the final publishing decision. <BR><BR> TUP Editorial Board<BR> http://www.uta.fi/kirjasto/en/tup/information/board.html <BR><BR> TUP Editorial board consists of six professors from different fields of science. Tampere University Press keeps an on line list of the peer-reviewers who have given permission to publish their names. The aim is to provide more transparency in the academic publishing process. Peer-reviewers are usually docents/adjunct professors/professors. <BR><BR> http://www.uta.fi/kirjasto/tup/kustantajasta/arvioitsijat.html <BR><BR> Peer-reviewed Certificate<BR> Tampere University Press has been awarded in the year 2014 among the first scholarly publishers in Finland, the right to use the certificate for guaranteed peer-reviewed content by the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies.
