Asociaciones locales y desarrollo: bases para su diagnóstico integral

Abstract

The purpose of the work was to propose conceptual and analytical guidelines for the comprehensive diagnosis of local associations from the perspective of sustainable development. Using a qualitative approach based on documentary analysis and theoretical-analytical systematisation, a progressive itinerary was developed to guide the construction of a diagnostic framework. The first chapter dealt with the theoretical foundations of associativity, systematising conceptual approaches that allow for an understanding of collective action and its application to organisational analysis. The second focused on the organisational subcultures present in local associations, considering their effect on internal dynamics, cohesion, and organisational and community governance processes. The third chapter identified the contribution of local associations to improving quality of life, highlighting their social and territorial impact as collective actors. The fourth chapter of this diagnostic framework addressed the role of local associations in sustainable development, defining economic, social and environmental dimensions, as well as the main constraints that condition their actions. Organisational, relational, symbolic and territorial dimensions were identified that will guide the subsequent construction of indicators and mixed instruments for the diagnosis of local associations. Finally, the fifth chapter incorporates the initial findings of a local system of periodic reports based on direct measurements of retail prices and the sentinel product approach, which is useful for guiding public and community decisions.
