Abstract

The book reviews the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, highlighting its transformative potential in personalizing learning and automating educational processes, while facing ethical and social challenges. The objective is to analyze the advances and challenges in the integration of AI in educational systems, identifying lack of infrastructure, teacher training and ethical concerns as key barriers. The qualitative methodology included a comprehensive literature review of relevant academic studies, analyzing the literature from multiple perspectives to understand the application and effects of AI in education. The results show uneven implementation of AI, with significant advances in learning personalization and educational management, but also significant challenges such as algorithmic bias and the digital divide. The discussion addresses how these barriers hinder an equitable and effective adoption of AI, emphasizing the need for appropriate policies and training to maximize its benefits. In conclusion, the book synthesizes current trends in the application of AI in education, providing a basis for future research and guidelines for responsible and ethical implementation of these technologies.
