dc.description.abstractDie Statistik der deutschen Volkshochschulen wird seit 1962 jährlich vom DIE erstellt. Im Berichtsjahr 2023 liegen bei einer Ausschöpfungsquote von rund 98 Prozent Daten für 822 der deutschen Volkshochschulen vor. Die Datenerhebung umfasst institutionelle Aspekte, Personal, Finanzierung, das realisierte Veranstaltungsangebot und weitere Leistungen der Volkshochschulen. Das Angebot wird nach sieben Programmbereichen und im Fall der Kurse nach 85 Fachgebieten differenziert und anhand zusätzlicher Merkmale beschrieben. Dieser Band enthält 51 kommentierte Tabellen und zwölf Abbildungen. Der Anhang bietet eine Übersicht der gesetzlichen Grundlagen der Weiterbildung in den Bundesländern.
