publisher.oalicenseFor the publication of monographs in open access, a series of specific collections have been created, such as Congresses, Reports, Interdisciplinary and Educational Resources in open access: Congresses Reports Interdisciplinary Educational resources Any monographic work (manuals, didactic material, reports, awards, tributes, etc.) that meets the same academic and scientific quality requirements as printed works can be published in open access. All publications will have ISBN and DOI provided by the Publications and Scientific Dissemination Service. All works to be published in open access will have to comply with the blind peer review system. The authors acknowledge and guarantee the legitimate and absolute ownership of the work, as well as of the additional material that accompanies it, over which they declare not to have any limitation or encumbrance that prevents them from freely disposing of or, if applicable, having the corresponding authorizations for reproduction, in accordance with current legislation. Authors must guarantee that the monograph or article is original and has not been published before. The text submitted for publication will be subjected to an analysis of coincidences through the anti-plagiarism system (Ithenticate Similarity Check) of the University of Malaga. They also declare that the work has not been previously published or sent to another publisher for consideration, in any other printed or electronic format or in any other language. The authors will retain the moral rights over the work. The economic rights (reproduction, distribution, public communication and transformation) that refer to the benefits obtained from the use or dissemination of the works are assigned to the University of Malaga. In support of the open science initiative, we encourage authors to deposit the edited version in any repository or academic social network.en_US
publisher.peerreviewpolicyUMA Editorial applies the double-blind peer review system to all non-institutional publications: evaluation of the work by two experts in the subject matter of the study without the latter knowing the identity of the author(s) or vice versa. To do this, the authors must send the publication proposals to the request manager of the Publications and Scientific Dissemination Service, which is part of the unit responsible for the UMA Editorial imprint. Then the editorial team of the Service: Reviews the delivery of the requested documentation: original in PDF and ORCID code. Submits the original to an analysis of coincidences with the anti-plagiarism system of the University of Malaga. Checks that it meets the formal conditions required for the collection. Anonymizes the manuscript and forwards it to the collection management of the collection in which publication is requested so that the Board of Directors reports on the suitability of the publication and, if positive, informs of possible relevant reviewers. If it is outside the collection, it is sent for this report to the member of the Publications Advisory Board of the corresponding area. Send the manuscript for review to the reviewers proposed by the Publication Advisory Board or to the reviewers registered in the databases of expert researchers in the area. Communicates to the author the publisher's decision to publish or reject the book through the request manager.en_US
