Verdrängt und verschwiegen? : Der Umgang mit der NS-Zeit an der Christiana Albertina

Abstract

With the second volume of the Kieler Studien zur Universitäts- und Wissenschaftsgeschichte (KSUW), the project team around the Kieler Gelehrtenverzeichnis (KGV) would like to make a further contribution to the research of the Nazi era as well as to the eventful history of coming to terms with these dark years at the CAU. The contributions provide, among other things, new findings by young researchers on the developments at the Department of Mathematics during the Nazi era as well as on the denazification and reparation procedures around the university in the postwar period. In addition, the public discussions about the ›honorability‹ of Kiel professors will be used to take a critical look at how the Nazi era was dealt with from the 1960s to the 2010s.
