| dc.description.abstract | The chapter starts from the importance of bibliometric analysis in the academic context. The user's manual on bibliometrics in R software for literature mapping is then presented. Starting with the installation of R and R Studio, the libraries bibliometrix and biblioshiny, the demonstration of the bibliometric database from PubMed. In addition, a case study on Environmental Biotechnology is supported and the main results are detailed, such as: search of scientific publications, annual scientific production and its geographical distribution by author affiliation, top 10 journals with the highest number of scientific papers, top 10 most cited papers in Environmental Biotechnology in the last 10 years, trend in the use of keywords in scientific publications, collaboration networks. In conclusion, this tool serves as a support for students who are developing their research work. | en_US |
