| publisher.program | The Directorate of Repositories, Multimedia, and Scientific Publishing (BRIN Publishing) is an established scientific publisher in Indonesia under The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Our main work revolves around planning, acquiring, designing, and distributing scientific knowledge to the public. BRIN Publishing has collaborated with various researchers and academicians as well as global publishers to publish high-quality publications that have passed thorough quality control mechanisms and editorial processes, including peer review. BRIN Publishing held the Knowledge Acquisition Program, which aims to collect, store, publish, and disseminate various local knowledge owned by specific communities or societies through open access. This program is one of BRIN's contributions to supporting the development of Indonesia's excellent and intelligent human resources by providing and popularising credible and innovative scientific or technological literacy. BRIN Publishing has employed an open-access scheme for all published books since 2020. Since then, there have been 264 scholarly book titles available for free access, with a total of 465,462 PDF downloads. | en_US |

| publisher.peerreviewpolicy | BRIN Publishing employs an online submission and review system. The submission and peer review of every manuscript must be managed using this system and based on the following Peer Review Policy. (1) Each submitted manuscript will be initially reviewed by the acquisition editor to check the suitability of the template, focus and scope, and manuscript submission policy. If the manuscript is appropriate, the manuscript will be sent to the reviewer. Otherwise, the manuscript will be sent back to the author for revision to match the manuscript template. (2) Each manuscript is reviewed by at least one peer-reviewer. The reviewer receives a double-blind review manuscript from the acquisition editor or secretariat. If not in accordance with his/her competence, the reviewer has the right to reject the manuscript and recommend it to other reviewers who are more competent. (3) The reviewer assesses the manuscript from the writing quality and substance aspects, which include novelty, authenticity, comprehensiveness, scientific impact, usefulness, validity of citation, and bibliography. (4) The acquisition and section editors shall decide on manuscript acceptance according to the reviewer’s critical comments. (5) The acquisition and section editors will send the final decision regarding the submission to the corresponding author based on the reviewer’s recommendation. (6) BRIN Publishing shall protect the confidentiality of all material submitted to the publisher and all communications with reviewers. | en_US |
