| dc.description.abstract | This book was made for children aged 3 to 6 with a loved one who got hospitalized in intensive care. Reading it to the children can help to explain them what is happening to the patient and the rest of the family, recognizing the importance of feelings and fears. It can be used first of all to prepare children for a possible entry into an Intensive Care Unit, accompanied by his family members and health professionals. This book also contains two extra contributions: a small guide for parents and some suggestions for operators (shaped insert with Doctor Owl and Nurse Rabbit). The aim is to create a true "therapeutic alliance", towards the protection of every preschooler from the avoidable pain of magnified worry, loneliness, fear of the unknown. This volume is related to a larger action-research project (MinViTI Project) which aims to improve the psychological well-being of minors who have a family member hospitalized in Intensive Care and was made in collaboration with Progetto Intensiva.it, a scientific initiative promoted and supported by SIAARTI, Aniarti, AAROI-EMAC. | en_US |

| oapen.abstract.otherlanguage | Questo libro è stato realizzato pensando ai bambini dai 3 ai 6 anni che hanno una persona cara ricoverata in Terapia Intensiva. Leggerlo ai più piccoli può aiutare a spiegare loro cosa sta succedendo al malato ricoverato e al resto della famiglia, riconoscendo l'importanza di sentimenti e paure. Può essere utilizzato soprattutto per preparare il bambino ad un eventuale ingresso in Terapia Intensiva, con l’accompagnamento dei suoi familiari e degli operatori sanitari. Questo libro contiene anche due contributi extra: una piccola guida per i genitori e alcuni suggerimenti per gli operatori (inserto sagomato con dottor Gufo e infermier Coniglio), in modo che si crei una vera “alleanza terapeutica” verso la protezione di ogni bambino in età prescolare dal dolore evitabile della preoccupazione ingigantita, del senso di solitudine, della paura di ciò che è sconosciuto. Questo volume è collegato ad un più ampio progetto di ricerca-azione (Progetto MinViTI) avente l’obiettivo di migliorare il benessere psicologico dei minori che hanno un familiare ricoverato in Terapia Intensiva ed è stato realizzato in collaborazione con il Progetto Intensiva.it, un’iniziativa scientifica promossa e supportata da SIAARTI, Aniarti, AAROI-EMAC. | en_US |
