dc.description.abstractMigration wird von der Salzburger Forschungsinitiative Musik und Migration als Sammelbegriff für verschiedene Wanderungshandlungen (u.a. Arbeits-, Bildungs- und Fluchtmigration) verstanden. Diese sind – in unterschiedlicher Ausprägung – für alle Zeiträume menschlicher Existenz dokumentierbar. Migrationsforschung erweist sich als interdisziplinär relevantes Wissenschaftsfeld, zu deren Erschließung die Musikwissenschaften substanziell beitragen können. Die hierfür maßgeblichen methodischen Entscheidungen bieten Herausforderungen, die es anzunehmen gilt. Der vorliegende Band enthält Diskussionsbeiträge in Form theoretischer und methodischer Überlegungen sowie Hinweise auf Fallbeispiele musikwissenschaftlicher Migrationsforschung.*
