| publisher.peerreviewpolicy | All handbooks' chapters undergo thorough peer review. This usually involves review by two independent peer reviewers. <BR>All submissions to PUBLISSO – Living Handbooks are assessed by an editor, who will decide whether they are suitable for peer review. Submissions felt to be suitable for consideration will be sent to appropriate experts for peer review. Editors will make a decision based on the reviewers’ assessments and will communicate this decision to the authors along with the reviewers’ reports. <BR>The editors will treat all submitted manuscripts in confidence. Reviewers are also required to treat manuscripts confidentially. <BR>Organization and operation of the peer review processes are the responsibility of the editorial boards. It also caters to anyone working in the field of information science. <BR>PUBLISSO's _Living Handbooks_ is an open access publishing platform run by ZB MED - Information Centre for Life Sciences in collaboration with GMS gGmbH. It enables authors and editors to publish scientific handbooks under the open access model. The goal is to provide access to up-to-date scientific information by drawing on the worldwide cooperation of experts in each specific discipline. The 'living' nature of the handbooks allows authors to add and update their contributions at any time (versioning). The quality of the texts is guaranteed by experts through the peer review process, and the content is brought to life by images, research data, audio and video files. | * |
