This chapter studies the monumental immovable heritage from an ethical perspective. It analyzes its role in society as a mechanism of identity of the communities with which it coexists, as well as the mechanisms that act for its social acceptance. In addition, the universal values they possess and the procedures used today for their restoration are presented. En este capítulo se estudia el patrimonio inmueble monumental desde una perspectiva ética. Se analiza su papel en la sociedad como engranaje de identidad de las comunidades con las que convive, así como los mecanismos que actúan para su aceptación social. Además, se exponen los valores universales que poseen y los procedimientos que hoy en día utilizan para su restauración.
