| dc.description.abstract | Since 2018, the arrival of Central American migrant caravans to the Chiapas border region has changed the traditional way of understanding the migratory flow. To date, and as a result of containment policies, these massive caravans have abruptly stopped. However, gradual and silent caravans continue to be observed, shaping the daily and cultural life of the border territory. The massive presence of Central Americans, Africans, and currently Haitians has provoked a series of xenophobic and racist behaviors that have their genesis in the collective imaginaries that are being constructed in response to the violent disruption of the daily life of local communities. | en_US |

| oapen.abstract.otherlanguage | Desde el 2018, la llegada de las caravanas de migrantes centroamericanos a la región fronteriza de Chiapas ha cambiado la forma tradicional de entender el flujo migratorio. A la fecha y como resultado de las políticas de contención, estas caravanas masi vas se han frenado abruptamente. Sin embargo, se siguen observando caravanas paulatinas y silenciosas, las cuales están configurando la vid a cotidiana y cultural del territorio fronterizo. La presencia masi va de centroamericanos, africanos y actualmente de haitianos ha provocado una serie de conductas xenofóbicas y racistas que tienen su génesis en los imaginarios colectivos que se van construyendo ante la irrupción violenta a la cotidianidad de las comunidades locales. | en_US |
