The present chapter aims to build a memory of the attack on the police station in Tumaco, Nariño, by the 29th front of the FARC-EP on February 1, 2012, amidst peace negotiations with this armed organization, during the first government of Juan Manuel Santos Calderón (2010-2014). It will delve into the background to this violent event, the geographical and historical context of that region in southwestern Colombia, and the consequences it brought, both for the progress of negotiations in Havana, Cuba, and for the residents of that port. El presente capítulo tiene como objetivo construir memoria sobre el atentado a la estación de policía de Tumaco, Nariño, por parte del frente 29 de la FARC-EP, el 1o de febrero de 2012, en medio de las negociaciones de paz con esa organización alzada en armas, durante el primer gobierno de Juan Manuel Santos Calderón (2010-2014). Se explorarán los antecedentes a este hecho violento, el contexto geográfico e histórico de esa región del suroccidente de Colombia y las consecuencias que trajo, tanto para el desarrollo de las negociaciones en La Habana, Cuba, como para los pobladores de ese puerto.
