Abstract

Statins are now the most widely used agents in patients with dyslipidemia, atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. However, their effects and mechanisms have not been fully investigated, and research continues to reveal new aspects of statins. The up-to-date content of this book will be useful to physicians in cardiovascular disease and geriatrics, and to academics conducting research on statins. It includes novel perspectives leading to new insights and advancing existing knowledge on statins.
